Title: Arrow for a friend
Post by: Pat B on March 25, 2023, 05:36:58 pm
I used to make a few of these crooked arrows when I could find the right shoots. I haven't shot this one but in the past the ones I've made shoot as well as any arrow if made correctly. This one is sourwood has an obsidian arrow head of unknown maker, Eastern Woodland 2 fletch with secondary turkey feathers, pitch glue and sinew wrap for the head and sinew wrap for the fletching with pine pitch varnish sealer on sinew and the shaft. Hope you like it and I hope she does too.

Nice arrow Pat . Always enjoy seeing your crooked ones.

That’s a really nice obsidian point from unknown. Looks like a hunter

Nice!  Always amazes me how crooked arrows can still fly true.  My favorite stumping arrow is a crooked stick like that, though not near as good lookin.
