Hey guys,
I started this one at Marty's in February, took it home and heat tempered the belly and finished it at the classic. First time trying reverse handle by leaving growth rings on the back so I wasn't sure what to expect but it turned out alright. Tips and handle overlays are bacote. 48#@27" 60"ntn. This bow shoots hard and fast with no handshock, in fact, I had several black widow shooters comment on its speed! >:D thanks for looking

Oh yea, it retains over 1" reflex. Tiller looks like its bending too much near the fades but almost all the reflex it started with was in the outer limbs.

Awesome! That handle looks great. I bet it points and shoots well. Great work man.
-
design and tiller look perfect, but of course I expect nothing less from you....now that handle, that handle is exceptional in every way. 8)
-
Looks like you added a little something to the handle since I last saw that one while you were working on it, looks real nice all finished up. Gentlemen, this man makes a sweet shooting bow.
-
Your all too kind ::) Yes Greg, after I tillered it I added the bacote to the handle because there was a crack in that spot
-
Love it!! That's a BOM winner right there for sure!
-
Cody, I don't have to tell you how much I like that bow. I said it to much at the classic :) really enjoyed getting to shoot in with ya! That thing is exceptional in every way.
-
Great looking bow. I like the handle.

I don't normally go for that style of handle, but your execution made a believer out of me. You have an excellent eye for style and function.
-
If there's one thing you're really good at Cody, it's making all of us other bowyers look bad ;) I think that's one of the nicest bows I've seen from you (even though the handle looks kinda like one of those f#$%&glass bows!) >:D

Its called primitive comfort! >:D

The handle section is absolutely wicked. 8) not FG look-a-like.......a traditional riser contour is all. ;)
-
That looks sweet. How do you make the handle like that without violating the ring?
-
A classic in every way, congratulations on a great bow.
-
I can see why the Widow users loved it. Nice pistol grip. Looks very comfortable.
-
Well done. I'm a fan of your bows. :)
-
Whoa, that handle is from outer space! :o Did you get a new rasp? Very nice bow, good work.
-
Cody - Interesting for sure - well done as usual ! Bob

Gorgeous work of art. Awesome.

You sure have a way with words BH!!

That is one sweet looking bow! Nice work.

Thanks everyone. I did violate the rings on the back, 8 of them to be exact but they are all in the non bending handle so its not a problem. before I debarked the stave and chased a ring I simply marked out the handle and left most if the rings proud there.
-
Gotta be one of your all time best Cody. Good to see how well it turned out, that one definitely caught my interest in TN.
-
That's top notch! Glad to see it finished.
-
pure shooting art Cody! Truly awesome bow to say the least...
-
Wow Cody. I don't know how this one slipped past me. Great job all around. Very innovative handle, it looks great as all of you bows. I have never seen such a well executed handle on a self bow like that. Really great finish work and tillering :).
-
Why add material on later to make the grip comfortable when it was already there in the first place. I like it.
-
Beautifully done as always.

That is real nice looking bow for sure. Thanks for sharing. Dean

She prettied up well, Cody. Of course I thought it was pretty at Tennessee. Nice work and great utilization of the extra rings in the non-bending portion. I recalled thinking, "Jeeeeez, why haven't I thought of that?"

It was a pleasure to be able to build and shoot it in the company of good friends :)

Everytime I see you post a bow I know it's going to be amazing. Once again you have exceeded my expectations! You are quite the artist.

Beautiful bow Cody. :)
-
I love how every bow of yours feels totally unique. This one looks great. Keep up the good work.
-
Oh my! That sure finished out beautifully! Well done Sir! Josh
-
thanks for making me slobber ::) Wow!!!
-
Every bow i've seen you post has been so very impressive and this one is no exception. Its the 2nd pistol gripped self bow I've ever seen, and the first one i've seen done in this manner the other one had a natural kink in it. Form following function with beautiful execution.
If you enter it for self bow of the month, this one has potential of having my vote.
-
Thanks fellers ;)
-
........How can someone not vote for this bow, well done.
-
I usually have problems with that kind of handle in my bow making, but you have made a brilliant bow. I like it. The tiller is very good and I believe it's fast. The sun will make it darker and good looking. Perfect target bow.
:D
