Couldn't agree more. Proper tiller, design and execution first... then fluff. I do like pretty bows, but they need to be well made bows first.

Post by: Parnell on December 01, 2013, 05:36:01 pm: Thanks guys! I've got a couple other photos I'll post up of thr unbraced profile. The stave had a wonky deflex that runs out just below the grip. Made for an interesting tiller with the lower limb. Let me get a pic up...

I've been knappin a lot more lately and I'm finally starting to make a half way decent point. Still got a loooooong way to go. Time for me to start posting more in the knapping section!

Post by: Parnell on December 05, 2013, 09:47:29 pm: Here is the unbraced picture and that kink in the lower limb. Finished two cane arrows to go with it. They turned out well. A heavy trade point and the other I put in an insert for a carbon arrow and field point. Just wondering if I should wrap behind that field point? It'd be heck on it pulling it out of a target I figure...

Post by: Parnell on December 06, 2013, 11:26:13 am: Thanks Pap. I put a single layer of cotton string under the alligator to give it a little cushion feel but I also like how it sorta "grabs" the leather. I have another thigh from that gator that has MY name on it! ;D
