Happy Friday all. Here's a Hackberry Selfbow kit I recently gave away in a contest on my Instagram account. It ended up being won by a gentleman who's already had great success in the woods with traditional bows. He let me know after he won that he's been meaning to get away from glass and into a primitive longbow, so the timing couldn't have been more perfect. I cant wait to see what he does with it this fall!
Hackberry Selfbow
Stained with campfire coals.
Left the heat treatment visible on the belly.
60# at 28" draw
66" overall length
Buckskin handle wrap
D97 Flemish string
Stiff handle. 2" wide at the fades.
Hand-stitched Bison Hide Quiver
9 target arrows - Surewood Douglas Fir shafts. Wild snow goose feathers. Self nocks and arti-sinew.

Pretty sweet set :) The bow looks very nice.
Try rounding over the edges of your nocks - less likely to Robin Hood one!
