Title: TRu-Oil and straightening
Post by: Tsalagi on January 21, 2010, 11:44:52 pm
I was wondering, if you used Tru-Oil to seal a shaft and later need to re-straighten it, can you use heat? Like, over a candle?

I'd use hand friction or just bend it till it stayed. They don't have to be perfect. If you heat Tru-oil, it would probally flake like pastic.

I've straightened hardwood shafts sealed with tru-oil over the burner on my stove.  Works good.
