Title: Michigan maple

I got a Maple stave from Michigan and was wondering if maple is good wood for making a Recurve, been wanting to make a recurve for while now.If so do ya think steaming would be a better option for Bending?

Yes and yes. This is a 64" maple recurve. Steamed in the curves.
