Title: Three In A Row
Post by: islandpiper on November 30, 2008, 03:04:15 pm
Here is a pic of my son and his fiance' and my wife,  using all the bows I have at home.   I got bumped out of the line and ended up just taking pictures.  Lots of CHEAP family fun!!

Howdy Piper and family,

So, can you give us some info on those bows?
What are they made of?
You make 'em?
Got any closeups?
Lengths, Poundage, draw Length, backing...?

I'm glad to see a group/family picture of archers out having fun - very encouraging.

All the Best,
Canoe

Nice Piper! Yup, we have found that archery is a wonderful family sport, especially when the little guys cream the adults in our moderately organized arrow flinging sessions. And thankfully making your own tackle, while a lot of fun, also helps rather than hurts the budget. A little boy, or a big one or a girl or whatever, will have every bit as much fun searching for the perfect sapling as they would at the best local fishing hole. The whole process can be a family thing. Dave
