Ok, I have it bucked. and membraned. Its been soaked in a slight acid bath and have rinsed the bucket with new clear water several times. I think its stable now.
But, with Christmas upon me and family and all the other stresses of the fun holidays... how can I put this project on hold?
I've heard of freezing the skin at this point, but can't remember - good or bad??
Can I just keep it soaking in water?
What if I took it out and hung it away from the animals and let it freeze up solid outside?
Any input would greatly decrease my holiday stress and maybe up my holiday spirits some :)
Much appreciated!!!
You all have a Merry Christmas!

Fold it up, place it in a plastic bag and put it in the freezer for later. You don't want to let it dry, so you won't have to rehydrate the skin later. Stores nice and neat.

What Trey said, and don't leave it soaking. Or you will come back to a bucket of GOO in a few days.
