Made this bow for a friend that is a grandpa to 4 grandaughters.... one is 5, one is 2 and 2 are under 6 mo. The son and son-in-law hunt and shoot at "grandpas" !! So I'm hoping the oldest will be able to shoot it some and then maybe get passed down to the others??
It's hackberry and is 41 inches ntn that pulls 8 lbs.@ 16 inches. Also rawhide backed and painted by my wife. Do these numbers seem reasonable for a 5 year old little girl? ???
I don't like the look of the full draw pic but knew it was that way but didn't want "fix it till it broke"!! ;)
As said many ways here before.... "you got to know when the haircut's done"!!

That's a fantastic little bow. Should work fine! I don't see anything wrong with your full draw tiller, looks good to me. You might have a couple of little hinges in the top limb... one right at the fade, and one about mid limb, but the draw # is so low, it won't matter.

All the craftsmanship is there doesn't matter how short the bow is. Very nice and bookmarked for Dec self bow of the month.
I wrote an article last year for PA about short bows but they didn't use it. Fooey! I'm still impressed with short bows.
