Well, here it is! I was finaly able to finnish it up a few months back. Sorry it took so long but I have been really busy. It shoots like a dream too!
Its around 68" long and has a deer hide backing with a wonderfull diamond back rattle snake covering that PatB gave to me at the Tenn. Classic (Thanks Pat! Its great!!!). I put the deer rawhide backing on just in case, since I had some long. grain run out on a spot I didn't notice while building it at the classic. As you can see its a reflex deflex design the tips are buff. horn nocks that GregB put on for me after the classic and then mailed the whole kit and kaboodle to me. (Thanks Greg! That is one heck of a job you've done!). I'm going to try to bring this one out to the 12th Tenn. Classic to shoot in the comp there. Thanks to Pappy, Greg and everyone who helped me put this together at the last Classic!
PS: Sorry I look so bad in the photo! I'm just getting over the Flue bug.

What kinda poundage did you end up with?
-
I think it was arround 55-60 pounds but I did not check it after I weighed before the rawhide backing and skins went on. I will have to check it out in the future some time.

I see the Feb/Mar Primitive Archer magazine has a great picture of you on p. 42.

I sure look a lot younger without the fuzz on the face and getting over he flue sure makes me look awfull! :o
Yep! I saw my pick in the mag. That makes number 2. Though you couldn't see all my face in the article on Glass Buttes. Bummer! ;D
-
Great looking job there Tiller,I wondered if you were ever going to finish it.Tiller looks good and the finish work is great.Well done. Now come on back so we can see it up close. :)
Pappy

Sure turned out nice Tiller, kind of thought it had the potential since you were shooting it during the Classic! ;D Great job on the finish work. ;)
-
We can do the wrestling right in the napping pit, that will show who is tough. :) ;D ;D
Again very nice bow.
Pappy
-
That's a mighty fine lookin' bow, Tiller-bet it shoots good, too.
PS: Sorry I look so bad in the photo!
Hell, we didn't expect you to look good!............. ;D ;D (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v325/hillbillync/Other%20Stuff/smilies/stickpokesmiley.gif)
Pappy, I'll 'rassle for bows in the knappin' pit if you give me enough of that Cumberland Plateau Antifreeze. ;D
-
Nice Tiller. Is that the one I was helping ya with? Turned out pretty sweet. Oh, and nice shirt! ;)
-
I think James would win in the knapping pit. I saw him in there barefoot on the obsidian :o
Again that bow turned out real nice Tiller. :)
-
Yeah! Ryan thats the one.
Ya mean the dog paw sweater? Gift from the grandparents. They were up in Canada and thought I would like it. All wool and very warm. I wear it a lot now that its damp and cold out. Especially with the fog we have today. Or do ya mean the Hawaiian shirt? I was on vacation!!! ;D
Yep its a dream to shoot! Best shooting bow I have so far. I think I will be working with Osage and other bow wood like it from now on. My lam bows are just not coming out as nice. I will have to keep experimenting!
