Here's a bow made by my buddy Harley. He's a member of the Ponca tribe and his father used to be a bowyer back in the day. Harley has just returned to his bow making roots a few years ago and this is the last bow he turned out. It's 45# @ 28", but he'll often pull it to 31". It is made out of Hickory and he originally made it for his wife, but won't stop playing with it himself. I tried to snap a picture of him drawing without warning. That's a 31 or 32" arrow he's shooting.

That's a cool bow that Harley made. Is Harley the gentleman you were telling me about? He may come to the camp-o-rama next July?

Nice style of bow...could use a little more bending out of the fades. :)

I started sinew backing the bow for him saturday. He'll apply the second layer in a few days. I just got off the phone with him and he said the tips are now reflexed 1" He wanted to up the poundage, but I'm afraid he might crush the belly. Hopefully he'll retiller it to bend more evenly. I think I talked him into applying a copperhead skin if the bow survives.
Pat, this is the same fellow. He's very interested in coming.
