As promised in this thread (Hickory backed Ipe-Elb (http://www.primitivearcher.com/smf/index.php/topic,11114.0.html)) I will show how I make this special wrap for the handle.
I hope the pics will speak for themselves - I am afraid that my English is not good enough for a exactly description.
For the wrap you can use only one strip of leather. Or you can glue two strips of different colors together for a nice pattern.
