Title: Jesse Smith is Winner for February Laminate Bow of the Month

Congratulations to Jesse Smith of Abrams, Wisconsin
His "Hers" from the His and Hers Set of Bamboo backed Ipe
is Laminate Bow of the Month for February

Jesse battled with himself on this one. His "His" member of the set almost won. ;)
My wife asked me to make her a pink bow that no guy would want to shoot  We settled on a pink fade in the bamboo like a
sunset so hers is named "sunset'. Its boo backed ipe with an ipe power lam and a stripe of maple in the handle. Elk antler ovelays.
Hers is les than 3/4" at the widest and pulls an even 40#@26"  64" ntn. by far the thinnest bow ive made.  The next bow is mine
its a r/d tri lam boo back, maple core, and ipe belly. also with elk overlays. It is real sweet and fast. I was actualy trying for a bit
more poundage but the early weight fooled me and it gains very gradual in the draw. it pulls a hair over 50# @ 27" 66" ntn 1 1/8
at fades tapering to a little under 3/8" tips. Thanks for looking  - Jesse

Congratulations Jesse. As I said, both bows are fantastic.
I voted for "HIS", but "HER" is a  wonderfull eye-catcher as well.

I feel kinda guilty having my pic in the magazine when I was only the decorator  ;D   I guess now it will be acceptable to shoot my pink bow because it won BOM!  Still not allowed!!!!  ;D

Say, what is wrong with pink? It's just red with some white mixed in. Beautiful bow. Will it shoot better now that it has won? :)

Thanks again guys. I hope you know what you voted for. She already has a gaudy leopard print strike plate on it and plans to put some white fur above and below the handle.  :-*  :-* :D

Nope, no tie in this case (only at the 2nd place  :D )

Congrats brother on a well deserved win.... those are some fine looking bows you built... just be careful .. I can tell you from experience that our women can and will outshoot us guys without even trying too hard once they have a fine bow in their hands ;D ;)  Hawk

Congrats Jesse,very nice .Both of them.They both were nice but her in the picture done it for
me. ;) :) Man this is great,get to see both winners for Feb. in May. :) You had some awsome

What other hobby is there that gives one such recognition for just doing what they love?  Pa is great. Thanks

Congratulations, Jesse! (and Angie!) All the bows were great this month, both of yours were awesome. I would have voted for the "his" bow, but Angie is a lot purtier than you, and I'm shallow. ;D

Well, he wasn't fibbing, but it wasn't his to let you shoot either (anymore)    :P  It's okay tho, I'll be proud to have big, tough guys wanting to shoot my pretty little bow.  But I'll be taking pictures!      ;D
