Won't be long here either, there trying to get them in under a" lesser weapon" catagory, meaning you could use them anytime a gun season is going on.....just opens the door for there own season !!

Thats part of it Pat, increased license sales and have to buy a crossbow stamp in addition to a regular license.

We are always hearing how hunting is on a down swing. At least this will put more folks in the woods...good or bad!

Just passed in PA a month or so ago also. Its all about the money to the game commission. We protested it and fought it tooth and nail and it didn't make one ounce of difference in the end. Archery hunting as we know it is now over in Pennsylvania.

As usual it all comes down to money.  Don't feel too bad, the newest compounds don't seem all that much different than crossbows.  They have almost the same letoff, trigger release, scopes,  and within 20 mins of practice you can shoot groups at 20 yds.   :P
