Enjoyed the article on billet splicing by Marc St Louis in the latest issue. I can see many benifits to a shorter splice, and from seeing Marcs work, we all know that it works fine.
I've been trying new splice designs this year and will have to add this one to my shop. Thanks for the article Marc.
Question: Have you tried urac for this shorter splice ?
-
Thanks Tim.
I've tried a couple of other splice over the years and even though this one is a bit more work it is the splice I always use now.
I don't have a source for urac

3 rivers carries it Mark. might be an option for ya.

Best to go through Nelsons paints. Not sure about the link, but it will be fresh stuff. Really cheap glue for the quality.

Marc lives in Ontario, 'er one of them Canadas. Ain't no telling how anal they get at the border. With a name like Urac, I've always assumed it was a heavy oxidizer (urea or ammonia-nitrate based), which makes it a catalyst for combustion. They liable to want first born at the border.

Well I don't have a first born so they will most likely want my right arm instead

It cost more to ship it in the states than the actual cost of the glue! :P
