Title: A few pics of my longbows....

Pretty new at this bow building thing, but I have about 10-11 under my belt now (Only 3 have blown up so far  ::)).  Here are a few pics of my better ones -


These are a pair of hickory bows I call the "Brother bows".  One is 72" and 45# @ 28" (bottom), the other is 69" and 50# @ 28" (top).  Handles are inlaid with walnut and purple heart.  Self made string as well.

This is one of my latest bows.  68" Ash drawing 55# @ 30".  Handle of walnut, purple heart and hickory.  Self made Flemish twist string and "Beaver balls" as well.

now thats a nice looking set. like the matching set style. tiller looks great to boot. keep em coming.

Thanks for sharing and welcome to PA :) Nice looking bows but my I'm not a fan of the big long handles
but thats just my personal feelings.

Thanks for the encouragement guys!  I've been a compound shooter for about 20 years and just in the last couple of months have taken on the longbows.  I have to say it is an addicting hobby!!  Hopefully I'll be able to turn a few really good ones out over the years.  Thanks again!

 man those longbows are spectacular! i love that purpleheart inlay alot, and the ash is looking great too. great work man -jimmy

Welcome to the dark side! I'm glad you've given up your training wheels. Nice bows.
