I pretty much stalked and shot a coyote with a open sighted henry lever action .22, i mangaed to get to within 50 yards by sqeeking with a piece of grass after i chased after him for a ways, shot and hit him in the neck then shot again missed and then shot again hit him in the shoulder as he jumped around and growled. big medicine for me, going to keep the skull and use the skin as a war bag, mr huston gave me a good idea from one of his articles for a bag

Its never easy pulling a sneak on the "trickster"! Good job. Those hides make beautiful trapper's hats. Will have to take you prairie dog hunting when you come to visit Hawk! Joe

HT was so excited when he called me at work I could barely understand him but that,s part of the thrill of the hunt.I was proud to see him squeek one in and harvest it with the iron sights. It was a fun day for him to still be off school for easter vacation. He,s not much of a TV person either.Yippee-Lloyd

-
south central across the river, on the redneck side, from harrisburg
-
The river is a lott smaller up where I'm from Clfd. Quite a few of those running the mountains around here.
-
very true. about a quarter mile from where i shot him me and my dad caught one and on top of the mountain above the ara my dad called one in and killed it, thats good odds even though theres hundreds probably around our area. people here say their nasty and mean, i respect the yoddler and love seeing or hearing them, the hunt i managed to pull off will play in my mind forever

oh yeah and to carry him out like 150 yards tired the crap outta me and im a tough kid so he was HEAVY. ;D
