I find a few mentions of this wood searching the archives, but does anyone have photos or descriptions of bows made from this wood?
Thanks,
Keith

Keith, its a very oily wood and you need to let it season for a number if years before using. But I have heard if you back it with Hickory it work very well. It grows on the west coast here but is getting harder and harder to find. Has a orangish red smooth bark that like to peal off the try on its own and an teardrop shaped leaf. One of the few none coniferous trees thats an evergreen.
