Title: oregon white oak

this last thanksgiving  i was at southern oregon and i cut some small trees of white oak...its going on 6 months..do you think they are close to being ready for play time..i really want to do some thing with them...maybe i will do some ruffing out and bring them inside where it is warmer..john

Did you leave the bark on? If the bark was left on then they may be fairly wet still. Roughing them will surely speed the process up John, but in our dry climate you might want to leave outside in the natural air a littel at first.  Watch closely for checking. but if cut in November you should be ok.

hey keenan,yes i left the bark on...maybe i could cut off a chunk and reseal the stave and take the chunk out side for a few days and see what it does.john
