We just finished sripping the plowzone off 3000 square meters of the site (followed buy quick shave with a hand hoe) Found scores of stains representing cultural features, many of which had ceramics on top. We'll get C14 dates from charcoal in the feature fill to date the various materials. We are also going to try out a relatively new technique - starch grain analysis, to find evidence of plant resources used.

3000mē! I'm guessing something is being built on top of it after?

Very cool occupation! Would like to see more as the dig continues, thanks for sharing.

Although I would love to be at a site like that, I would not want to find one at a future Highway Intersection down here. They milk the job bad enough as it is. It takes forever to finish a lane down here, let alone an intersection. ;)

Couple pics of a nice Savanna River point found recently.
We have found an unusual number of shaft abradors made of ground stone - over fifteen. How nicely related to our pastime. I'll get some pics of them up
