Wolf Watcher gifted me a new bow two days ago, the beautiful TWO FACE bow built by Ryano Sullivan. Watcher and I along with stacey hunted turkeys for two days, I was fortunate enough to harvest this big tom with wolf watcher this am, I hoped to harvest the bird with stone points made by Billy but ended up making the kill with some of my home made trade points.. what a warrior this bird turned out to be... Thanks Wolf Watcher for sharing the memories of the hunt, the honor of the stalk and the brotherhood of the bow.. It is an honor to hunt the wild places with you Kola..

I feel blessed every time I get to hunt with the Hustons! That old warrior of a bird deserves a lot of respect as he made Mike do some serious hunting to get him! Also want to thank Ryan for the bow he gave me at the classic as in the hands of a hunter it produced! As for my part in the hunt, I had Several great shots and avoided getting my hands all bloody! Mike called a big Tom in that we could see as he came a long way off the mountain. Was setting in a tent and when I loosed the arrow there was a sicking sound as the bow hit the tent! That's my excuse, but the other shots were flat out misses. Was shooting the bow that Pappy and the fellows at the Classic gave me. It is a dream bow and makes me look like a hunter! Going over to Yellowtail lake with the Hustons this week end in the boat to hunt carp and jerk the lips off some catfish. Catfish are rare in our county so hope to find some! Mike's boys will take care of the carp. Have a good weekend where ever you are! Joe

Congratulations on a successful hunt! Joe, It was a real pleasure meeting you and your wife at the Classic. You guys are living the life! Take care and good luck hunting/fishing. Mike, how did that trade point work? Almost forgot to compliment the photographer on the great photos!
Thanks Tracy

Just too cool. Medicine hunt, Medicine bow, The best of friends and family, Honorable harvest of a wise old warrior. Good eating and lots of premo fletching there. You guys and gals really are living it right. Congrats, I know you give it your all and deserve what comes your way. Kenneth

Thanks brother, I think all those medicine arrows Pat B made must be working.. I need all the help i can get..
-
Great stalk and hunt Mike. With Joe by your side, you can't go wrong. ;) I haven't hunted turkeys but know of their incredible sight. Not easy to get close enough to those guys with lots of cover around. Takes a true hunter to do it on open ground. 8)

Looks like an awesome hunt to me!!Good stalkin' and good shootin',with good equipment. God Bless

-
Thanks Joe, I love hunting... getting a harvest is a bonus.. but the hunt is always on my mind...LOL happy hunting Hawk
-
Looks like a great hunt, Mike-and a tough one. Not many trees to hide behind out there, and those turkeys are the sharpest-eyed critters in the world.
-
Great job Hawk, tough hunt I am sure but you pulled it off. Very nice bird. It would be tough to
crawl up on an eastern bird like that,If fact they would have seen the one taking the picture
and left the country. :) Nice job and good eating. :) Love to get out there and hunt with you
and Joe sometime.

Pappy: You are right about how well they see!! Stacey was hidding in my truck when she took the picture of Hawk on the hill side with the big tom! She has a very long range lens! He was hunting with the Ryan bow, "Two Face" and I was using the bow you gave me at the classic! What a beautiful bow!! Hawk called an old tom off the hill right into the pretty boy decoy and when I shot the bow hit the tent and I missed. Also missed several spot and stalk shots, but what a fun challenge. Hunting with Hawk is always a wonder as he just has sneaking ability that has to be seen to be believed! Getting ready to hunt black bear as the snow in the high country is finally going away! Sounds like you and your wife had a great trip! Joe

I hear ya Joe,guess they can see well wherever you are. :) Me and Miss Joanie really wanted to visit while we were out west but we wasn't on that side of the world, now that I have got her out there
once she wants to come back when we have more time so it is in the cards to get back out soon.
Nothing to hunt around here now but Squirrel's. :) You got to have some real stalking talent to sneak up on a Turkey,my hat is off to Hawk. :)
