Title: Question aboute cornus mas wood.

Helo guys....i  have finaly find a fiew pieces of cornus mas....i dont know iff u call it "dog wodd"...aniway, the latin name is "cornus mas"..and i wanted to ask u iff u know  how should i cure this wodd....i know its pretty tricy, becose it checks badly...and also i would like to know  what  tipe of bow works well with this tipe of wood..( design, profile,etc.)......its the first time whenn i work with this wood, and   i realy dont know verry much much aboyute him...i know its a verry tugh  wood....verry good in compresion, but thats all,,,,,i would realy apreciated a little help....thks in advance

I would treat it like any other white wood as far as design. I have never used Cornus mas but if it is like the other Cornus species it should make a good bow. I have one growing here but it is too small for bows and is at least 10 years old.
