Here are a few more that I knocked out last night.
All three of the dacite points came from the same hand size spall. I had it thinned down pretty good with only two or three platforms left to hit. It was going to be a nice axe head. My duaghter stuck her head in the building and yelled "daddy, where is the tent?" as I was on the downswing. I jerked and missed the platform and one preform became three. Oh well, better luck next time.

I like the old whiskey bottles.

Really nice! I have trouble knapping dacite, I like harder stuff!
-
I may notch the glass point, or I may make a knife handle for it. Undecided right now. Here are a few more points I did this morning.

Looks good Eddie! I've already worn out 3 of those boppers you sent me and had to make more :o I didn't wrap the handles...now my hand is green ;D

Thanks everybody. Dang Shannon, quit hitting concrete. I made a few for me when I made those and only wore one out. Of course, I weighted it with two pounds of lead and then spalled out about 20 pounds of rhyolite. The solder finally broke on the last hit. >:D >:D >:D

That beautiful first picture is now a broken piece of stone hafted onto a river cane shaft :(. It shot really really nicely until I hit a ball bearing which was lodged in the target. Don't ask me what a ball bearing was doing in the target. Meh. The turkey tail you sent me has got to be my favorite of the lot!

Good work Eddie! Your slicking em up and getting some good symmetry there.
-
Hey crow, these look really nice!
-
Nice work Eddie. Hope you get them bloody.

Madcrow... those look great!! Glad I`m not the only one using
un-natural obsidion... lol ;D
