just finished another elm bow.. very plain jane but its shoots great!. 57" long and 64# @ 28" pretty simple but it just shoots and feels great. took almost no set at all, just a tiny bit, maybe a half an inch. and the tips are flipped up just a tad too. even though its so simple i am really please with how this bow performs. thanks for looking- Ryan

i havent been round long but all the bows you have put on here including this one are beautiful !! i love the simple lines from unbraced to full draw . outstanding bow!!
-
Great little bow and quite pleasant to look at. Beauty is only skin deep but bad is to the bone! ;) A good shooting bow is our goal. Pretty is extra. ;D
-
Now that's a great looking little bow, nice job!!
-
Good looking bow Ryan, what are its dimensions?
-

Awesome bow, I love it!

It looks just perfect, short and sweet. 57 in long no backing very little set?, whats not to love?
GREAT JOB!

I built many bows,58" and less, during the ABC contests, but not to many with weights over 60# that held up, and was a pleasure to shoot. This one has my attention. It is not an easy task, and your bows unbraced profile tells me that you have hit a homerun.
Those who think that building such a bow,(while "plain Jane") seems easy, should try it sometime. They'd learn alot about building bows.
Great job!

timo, building no bow is easy. twisted limbs, that is an awesome bow. Congratulations! Jawge

I love it :)!

looks like the perfect little hunter. i like simple things in life.

That is really some strong work!! Not only is it short, but the poundage is up there. All the short bows I've built have taken a fair bit of set. I have a really hard time shooting short bows with any sort of accuracy, either. Good work! :D

This is the site for "plain jane" bows. Nice and primitive and bookmarked for Self BOM fun, too. Have a chance to get into the Big Snowy Mtns, yet?
-
Nice job - the little things give it character like the small space in the wrap and the natural finish.
-
Realy like your bows, Ryan!
-
Really fine. Elm can go short huh. DId I miss how wide it is?

Nice Bow Ryan....and Yes Elm is a good Wood for a Short Bow! As for being Plain Jane....there is nothing more Beautiful than the Perfect Simplicity of a Self Bow at it's Roots....Nuff Said..... ;D

Plain Jane does it for me...she's pretty with nice curves :P

Looks good Ryan! Maybe plain Jane but nice. I've still got that piece of FL elm you sent me in the house - roughed out, recurved, tip overlayed and ready to tiller. At least your still pumping em out :).
-
Great looking bow! How did the ebay attempt go? If I had the money I would have bought that one for sure.
-
Very nice,great looking bow. :)
