Title: Copper bopping,no FOG
Post by: mullet on October 21, 2009, 06:32:18 pm
I haven't been chipping much lately, too busy at work and working on bows. It is finally cool now. Also, I went back to spalling instead of slabbing. So I've just been thinning out preforms till I have time to finish them. Here are a few I finished in the last week or so after work.

Thanks, guys. Tim, that turkey tail is actually small enough to put on an arrow. Dana, we have another cold front moving through Saturday, good hunting, high of 80.

Pretty darn good Eddie. My bopping has produced a back yard that looks like a car crash with nothing but tinted glass.  ;)

well i never tried cold/frozen rock
however i think that the shock wave would travel better as things seem to shatter easier as they get colder
i have been doing some reading about water treating rock, same there
they say the shiock wave travels better in wet rock
wet meaning its been soaking for months

They are all great looking points, but my fav is the 2nd one. Looks like it could have been done back when men were sticking those big hairy elephants.

Good gravy, I keep seeing these great points and I don't need another sickness just yet. Super work Eddie I really like that last one and the first one really pulls my eye for some reason.

no i wouldnt say its addicting
so i havent made but 2 bows in neaqrly a year now since i started this habit,i mean hobby.
its no more addicting thanwell breathing,no not addicting just consuming
it consumes you like, well like nothing you have experienced
after awhile you wont even notice the latest bleeding gash on your fingers
you just keep on a whacking away, you get so into it that all else is irrelevent untill your done for the time being
like i said its not addicting, just consuming
well gotta go bust on a rock or three now, need my fix for the night  lol ;D
