I doubt that this is a traditional kill or even from Nebraska....I got this as a text today which read, "Killed in the Wildcate Hills area (which is a state rec area here in Nebraska, close to Scottsbulff) this morning 332 p&y, 41 pts, 43" spread, 35" main beams, and 7.5" bases...New Nebraska state record for both archery and firearm" :o :o :o :o I WISH IT WAS ME!!!! :'( :'(
just thought you guys would like to see it too...

That thing has been all over the web. Some say it was killed in Illinois, some say Ohio. The talk over on Awesome Antlers is that it was killed on a high fence ranch of some sort. Who knows ???
If it turns out to be a wild deer, we'll see it in every magazine on earth and somebody will be an over night celebrity.

Saw, do you have a link to that page...i'd like to read it?

Looks like something off of the High Fenced King'S Ranch in South Texas
-
So someone finally shot him. He kept walking under my stand and I was going to give him one more year. :D ::)
-
How did that picture of my deer get all over the web??? Dang it, I just shot the thing a few weeks ago, but I only sent 2 picture messages with my cell phone to a few of my friends. Seems like you can't count on anyone to keep a secret. Sheesh. Well, looks like I'm gonna have to do some internal investigating to find out who opened their big fat yapper, then I'll tell him to open wide so I can sink one of my bird points into the back of his throat. Fine, I'll admit it....I killed that deer. 8) 8) 8)

he needed 1 more year to grow. its a nice buck however he was taken.

Are deer like those posted due mostly to genetics, food source, or a mixture of both? Are there any other major contributing factors?
-
I may be mistaken but I believe its kind of like the chickens we have today...fat and plump....food and genetics to get them the way we want them

These are all genetically Bred....just like the King Ranch Deer here in Texas...they get in the 5 and 6 digits for Semen from these Monsters that they have Bred....Scientifically Altered....Special Feed....and Suppliments...this is the Outcome...One Hell of a Cash Crop.....I myself do not think that it is Right at all...but there it is....The Ever Lovin Greenback!! My Wife works in and makes a Chemical from Poisonous By-Products of the Petro-Chemical Industry...that is sold to another Company that turns it into a Suppliment that will take a Chicken from the Egg to the Super MArket in less than 6 Weeks....aint Science just Grand....not to say just how Good this New Chicken must be for Us as a Species!!!

I have to agree, Ryan. Those horns look kinda bleached out.
-
I don't understand this obsession with horns - you can't eat them...
-
They not even look good...

Gordon, I agree, maybe it falls under that "SPS"".
