Well, since I got back to Oklahoma, I have been on stand twice. Shot a coyote Sunday morning and this fellar this morning. I saw him shortly after first light and hit the bleat call a couple times. He turned and came right in from about 80 yards out. I had to let him walk past since he came in straight on. He was quartered away big time. I hit high and just in front of the right hip. It angled out and came through beside his left front leg. He barely made it 40 yards before he piled up.....
I was happy to walk up on this weird rack. Now I have the perfect antler to make a knife with the flint blade Jessie gave me last week!!

Great job chad!!
So give us some details on the set-up you got that beautiful deer with: Bow (wood species, weight) and arrows (materials, weight, point type. I know you got him with a stone point...didn't ya?? :) )
By the way, those green leaves on your pants look like they're glowing in the picture!

Well done.

Hey Billy,
Glad you like the camo ;D That is my signature camo...Elusive Camo. You can't pick it up at the local Walmart, but.... I can set you up with a suit!
I was using a 54# osage selfbow, ash shaft with 160 grain trade point. I don't have the knapping thing down yet, and the two knapped heads I was given last year took game but were busted up after the shots..... I'd be happy to field test any that you might like to send, though... ;)
BTW- Really enjoyed your article in the new TBM. I had been on TJ and Don to do more primitive stuff, and was glad to see them add the Primitive Bowhunter section to the mag.
