Stacey took these pics of me from about eighty yards away down a corn row... The buck was to my immediate right, no buck tag :'( the doe was at three yards when she stood up.. couldn't snake an arrow through the stalks with the selfbow not a good ethical shot but thought my fellow brothers of the bow would like these pics,She is getting pretty good at capturing quick shots.. enjoy...let her know what you all think ... Cool pics. Stacy sure has an eye and the artistic ability to go with it. 8)

Nice shots!
Man, that's a real bummer that you didn't have a buck tag! He looked mighty tempting!
-
I really like your wife's photographs; they tell stories!
-
Nice pics,
doesn't look like you can stalk with so much dried foilage (noisy), must make a great spot for blind hunting:)
-
Those are some nice shots! I don't see how either one of you get so close in that crunchy corn field.
-
In wyoming we have lots of wind, high wind days are perfect for stalking, thay cannot hear you, if you move really slow it works well. I never hunt from blinds, can't stand the fact I cannot see. around me. I have one for duck huntig but usually put the dog in it and sit outside ;D...

Good pictures Stacey, always enjoy seeing you're work. Good stalk son....Brokenhand....Aho.

She does have talent! If I can ask- what's her setup? I'm guessing a dslr- if so what is her favorite lense. I'm looking for a new lense for mine but can't decide.

Eighty yards away? Man, it looks like she is standing right behind you!
I've tried to hunt the corn fields but in Ohio they plant the rows too close. It just hasn't worked but your situation appears to be excellent for it.
-
It is, when the wind is howling, stay low .......move slow... works everytime.. have been within a few yards of several deer but shooting through the stalks can be tricky, often have to just back away and try a new approach. loads of fun though. Hawk

Great pictures, and good stalk also,They plant our corn rows to close togeather to do that here anymore. :)

As always, awesome pics Stacey!

Great pictures Stacey! Looks like a lot of fun and great way to hunt during the middle of the day! :)
-
man thats impressive. she's as good a photographer as you are a hunter, and thats a combination that we all enjoy, lol.
-
I love the one of the buck! Just awesome!

Great stradegy, Hawk. I was thinking about planting some corn on my farm next year, but the only draw back I saw was the deer tend to get in there and hide. But you just solved that problem for me. I'll plant the rows wide enough so I can stalk through them and stalk the deer. Thanks. Now if I can just keep the weeds out, I'lll be in business. Spraying Roundup in not an option. Dave

Thanks brothers of the bow, yep .. if there is wind and you have time.. it is one of those action packed hunting adventures. they rarely leave the field, if you blow the stalk then just wait a while and look down the rows for bedded deer and stalk again. If the wind quits then you have to move really slow, took me three hours to go 150 yards once the wind died down.. but made meat so was worth the stiff muscles and strain on my knees being in crouch mode for so long ;D ;D

way cool stuff hustons. good luck
