ok what material can i use to make bowstrings i know of sinew and artificial sinew but what man made material is out there i live in a very humid climate

-
Brownell Materials are good...B-50.... Fastflight...hell even Flax....or Linen make a good String too......

-
B50 dacron is great stuff... strong, really cheap (about $8 for a 1/4# spool). If you want a low stretch string, then fasflight, but it costs about 4X as much.

-
isnt dacron a fishing line and do you  twist it together or use just a single strand?

-
B50 is a polyester material that comes on a spool. 1 strand is not enough for a bow string. A 50 lb bow would need a string made out of 12 to 14 strands of B50 twisted together.

thanx Tj i will be looking for some today

It is possible to use braided fishing line twisted together, but buying the spool of dacron is much cheaper.
