I was recently shooting my osage selfbow and noticed a crack in the bow's back.  The crack is about 12 inches above the handle, about 2 inches long and runs with the grain of the wood.  Is the bow still safe to shoot?  Will I need to back it now to keep it from breaking?  Thanks.

Hard to say, pictures would help a lot.is it running across the grain or with it ? I for sure wouldn't shoot it till I dine some type of repair. :)

Guys its osage, crack runs with the grain ;)  should be fine unless its running toward the edge, shoot some superglue in it and keep shooting it :)
