Title: First Time Tanning

I tried out Jeff's alum tanning method on this road kill fox it came out pretty good,
no hair loss but I messed the ears and nose up trying to flesh them, the fox was still warm when I picked her up
she had a bit of road rash but was in good shape for gettting smacked by a car :)

Bo really likes it just not on his head >:D

Thanks guys, I tried getting da wifey to model it now I have 2 black eyes ::) and am sleeping with Bo ;)

Reminds me of the time I hit one, honestly by accident O:), and just as i was putting the car in reverse from the emergency lane, an 18 wheeler rolls right over the top of it :'(

Yep, check your local game laws, but they are legal to hunt and trap.

Yes they can be hunted or trapped here in Michigan, there's a beautiful black phase running around by work sure
wish I knew how to trap >:(

looks good I am tanning some skunk hides with a commercial tanning kit. Do you care to share your recipe caught the skunks in body hold traps never had achance to spray

Wildman I used Jeff Utleys Build -a-long to tan it, alum and salt.

Never done any tanning, thought about it, seems like it would be a useful skill.
