Title: d-bow or flat bow outof rock maple

i have a rock maple board 70 inches long by 1 inch deep by 1 and one quarter inch wide.  are these good enough dimensions for a bow of one of these two styles of bows?  should i back it with something?  just curious.

Luke its going to depend on a few things like what draw length and draw weight you expect and whats the grain like?

Could make either just depends more info please :)
