Title: What glue for limb tips ?
Post by: Pdwight on February 18, 2010, 07:48:09 pm
I have a Ipe/Bamboo bow by David Knight that I am wanting to finish up. What glue is best for the limb tips ?

I will be gluing this on the bamboo back of course, I have been told that CA is fine but if there is something better I want to use it for this very special Bow.

Thanks
Dwight

I like Epoxy. It's hard to beat.
if you use superglue there are new types that are less brittle and designed for shock or impact resistance. Can't hurt to use that.
You'll probably be grinding an angled flat to the tip that crosses onto the belly material as well.
