Title: First attempt at Damascus
Post by: Pennhawk on March 12, 2010, 04:53:57 pm
Been wanting to try this for 15 years and finally got to it.  I started with 5 layers 2 high carbon (old files) and 3 mild steel.  Forge welding, drawing out and folding I got to 80 layers.  Then made this knife from it.  The handle is Lion leg bone it had some cracks so I wrapped it with rawhide.  Hope you enjoy.
