Not my video,I just found it last year while plunking along........I'd like to think I was a bit more "handsome" than that fella. ???
-
Beautifully done! I'll have to try that one of these days.
-
I do the same thing I make necklaces out of the smaller ones...heck I wear them myself and get complements ...but I like ur fancy little twists with the wire job...thanks for the idea..lol nice points too!

im even more impressed after watching the video seeing as i could understand a thing he said. ;D
-
Very nice Timo, I need to try that :)

A little something I learned about wrapping these is to get you a small pair of dikes, and some round nose plies.they sell them at walmart as a set, in the crafts sections for a small fee.If you use regular needle nose they will mare the wire and not looks as good on the twist.
Also, it's a a good idea to leave the base of the point straight across,as any notches/concavities will make it tougher to get a good clean spiral on the loop. You can see it on the Cahokia point. I'm gonna have to redo that one.
Also, be sure to grind all edges of your points,If the edge is left sharp it can cause some neck/chest problems in the heat of the moment. ;D

Those look great, Timo. i do the same thing with a lot of my colorful flakes (but my knapping or wrapping doesn't look nearly as good as yours-thanks for the link! ) They make great Christmas presents for wives, girlfriends, mistresses, sisters, etc. :D Plus, you can sell 'em like hotcakes at knap-ins sometimes.

They look great! I don't see anything wrong with them. Nice work. :)
-
What kind of wire do you guys use for that? I'm guessing it can be found at walmart too? Somehow, when I used old rusty bailin wire it didn't look quite the same.
-
Stringman, sterling silver or gold jewelry wire is what most folks use. Never saw it at wallyworld here, I get mine at a store that sells jewelry making supplies.
-
here are the tiny ones i made i will re wrap the one with copper wire later after we go buy some baby chicks from the store mmmm yard bird i wasnt pleased with the wrapping lol
