Title: 1/4 + 1/4 + 1/2 =
Post by: n2huntn on March 18, 2010, 02:46:57 pm
One sweet Shooter.
1/4 sawn Elm back plus 1/4 sawn Black Walnut belly plus Half Eyes endless generosity and patience equals one sweet shooting bow.
60" tip to tip , 50# @ 27". Vey quiet , soft release, and light in the hand. I have a second one glued up now, 53" Ash backed Red Oak, will shoot for 45-50 at @ 27".
Rich walked me through the whole deal and even resized the photos for me, heck of a guy..Thanks Rich.

Nice... I'd never considered the M-style bow until I saw so many great looking specimens on this site. And yes, that Rich is a super swell guy. Probably one of the nicest and most helpful 'strangers' I've never formally met.  :D
