I still have a little more to do but its made it through the dangerous part. The Blade is 18 1/2 inches and i modeled it after the large blade found in the duck river cache. I'll post more pics this week end.

That is really amazing work. Congratulations on keeping it together. Looking forward to seeing some more detailed photos!
-
holy smokes, thats a serious piece of stone. i would have broke that into at least 8 pieces on the 1st or second hit!
-
Jesse, why didn't you just go ahead and make a big blade while you were at it? ;D That's sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet!
-
heh. well I've got at least 5 working hours in it and had to to keep building up the nerve to hit it sometimes ;)
-
I know that piece of rock...I thought you were gonna make two daggers out of it.
Just couldn't stand the thought of cutting it could you ;D AWESOME job Jesse!
-
Thanks Shanon, Yea I'm glade i did not cut it in half. a solid chunk of rock that size dose not come around every day.
-
Jesse, you did more than just model the duck river piece, you surpassed it!
WOw!
Tracy
-
Thats really awesome stuff, can't wait to watch you knap at the classic
VB
-
Jesse, you keep that crap up and you will have to start knapping in and amphitheater just because of the gathering crowds!
Nice!
-
Wicked cool.
-
Wow. That is really amazing
-
quit posting pics of such crude little blades...I'm getting real tired of seeing people with no skill post pics of blades that have no business being on here!! :D :D
-
Awsome work. It does get spooky there at the end, doesn't it. Every time you hit it and it goes "DING" and you know you are 1/32" from breaking it. Bill
-
Oh man that Ding ring ring ring.. I could feel the blade flex every time i smacked it.
-
I don't know what to say. That is some mad knapping. ;D
