What do y'all use for a target? After I build the arrow with the knapped point I want to see how it flys (so I know I can hunt with it)

well i just use my block 4x4 targer,or a box stuffed with foam and plastic bags(i mean it is packed full and tight)
but i think the first thing you should do before you plan on hunting with them is to make sure its legal where yo will be hunting.

Styrofoam Block...don't ever shoot one into a Bag Target...man that gets hairy........ ::)

Hang an old couch cushion from a clothes line. I have had a few pass through, but most will be stopped by it.

Two hay bales at Home Depot will cost ya about $6.  Then just take a napkin and fold it twice and hang it on one of the strings.  Makes a great target.  I've reinforced the back of mine with some old pieces of carpet, though.

lol yeah that could be a problem!  I keep a tarp over mine with an extra long bungee cord to keep it on.

Never liked Hay Bales...lost or torn up too many Feathers in them...once they start to get shot it the arrow goes too deep
