I'm not much for running unless I'm being pursued by something. :) Good luck, Rick.

Wow - just qualifying for it is a big accomplishment. I tried but couldn't make the cut off. Haven't run a 26.2'er in a couple of years now and don't miss the wear and tear, but still love a good run. You're not kidding about the Kenyen's they trot as fast as I sprint. :o 8)

good luck to you. I could run a long time ago.

Thanks guys. It went pretty well. I ran a 3:07:50. This was my third marathon and my fastest. I was really hoping for a sub 3 hr. time, but the course was much tougher than I expected. The first 13 was flat to rolling downhill, but 16-22 really kicked my A$$. I love suffering like that. It is good for the soul. Next year I'll get it under 3 hr's ;) Thanks again.

Wow great job Rick. Im impressed. I could run fast when I was a kid but I was more of a sprinter ;D Start now and you could run all the way to Pappy's by next week ;D

That's when it counts most ;)
Well done Rick! A good time for only your third marathon. How long does it take you to recover to "full capacity" afterwards, if you don't mind me asking?
-
I'm totally impressed that you ran in the Boston Marathon. Wow. I dont think I've even met a marathoner before.
I was thinking of hiding around the last mile, then completing the race first. But that has already been done :)

Thanks for the kind words everyone.
Dana- I got the package today ;D. You are too generous. When the wife gets back with the camera, I'm going to post a pic of all the points. A Huge Thankyou ;). No Kenyan footprints, but it's a good thing that they are only 90# just in case.
HatchA- Fully recovered, will probably be in a week or so from now. Today my legs feel pretty good, so I'm going out for a short run tommorow. I have a 50K (31mile) trail race on May 8, so I need to get running as soon as possible.
Dane- Somehow I think they would know you aren't Kenyan ;)

Hope you can use the elk billets I couldn't get the hang of em ;) Kill something with one of dem der pernts eh :)

That's a stunning time Rick. Sorry you didn't break three hours, I never broke 4. My best was 4:06.
I'm sure you'll get it next year!

Congratulations Rick! That is an absolutely awesome feat! I might be able to keep up and follow on my bike ;D
