Title: TN Classic bow from David's class
Post by: _Jon_ on May 10, 2010, 07:48:51 pm
I try to do something new each year at the Classic.  This year I took part in David’s class.  I was at Twin Oaks this Saturday finishing it up and on the finish work thanks go to Greg and Anthony for tips and advice.  And many many thanks to David for his class and helping me make a dream come true.

It's ok, I have a nicer bow. Just kidding, you did a great job on it, you have an attention to detail, I sat and watched you sand forever on it. It came out even better than I expected. The color of the bamboo is really attractive.
Good job man.

That is an awesome looking bow! BBI is on my "to do" list for one day. I love the finish you put on the bamboo, goes great with the Ipe.

Don't forget, we're gonna market that bow holder that you came up with in that picture, we just need to find stores that are willing to stock a hay bale and a picnic table.

Very nice weapon you have made there. A worthy candidate for May Laminated Bows for BOM.

Thanks friends for the kind comments.  All the really important stuff was done by David.  He is a a fine fellow.

The best part was sharing the experience with friends, both old and new.
