Here is a Cayuga Indian Bow that I just finished for my wife. It is called "Kissing-Fish". It is based off the the bow illustrated on 52 of Encyclopedia of native American Bows, Arrows and Quivers (Allely/Hamm)
Hickory with a tempered belly.
55" N-N
35#@25"
1" of set
Back: You can see the kissing fish on the bow.

Good shooting bow and a good design. Those Cayuga knew what they were about.
Thanks for looking,

Good looking bow (and bow owner...:) ) We made one like that for a Community bow project a few years ago, and I was surprised how well it shot, it's a good design. Nice work!
-
Nice bow. You should have used a lighter background for the pics though

Nice Bow. It appears those are working tips at full draw. That's pretty cool. I tried making one with working tips a couple of years ago but a pin knot wouldn't allow one side to hold. I imagine it gives a good flip to those limbs and arrow.

Nice Bow !!! I live about 12 miles from Cayuga lake!! In New York, Do you have any more history on that bow and tribe ? JEFF W

Cat, Yes be careful what you wish...haha...my wife has a yew elb, a yew Pit River bow and now this one...she has quite a collection going....good thing I am a bowyer otherwise I'd be broke buying her bows.
Jeff, The Cyuga are a small tribe still in your region....they are a branch off of the Iroquois.
