Quick question for those of you that shoot cane arrows with self nocks.... how deep is "deep enough" for self noccks, specifically in tonkin shafts? I've got mine to about 5mm buut to my eye, they look kinda shallow.
Any thoughts?

I cut mine to just a little deeper than the strings thickness at the nocking point
-
I cut mine to the depth of a hacksaw blade, about 1/2".
-
i have a mini table saw an i cut mine to the depth of the plastic ones
-
I usually make mine about 3/8" or so.
-
Mine are cut to 3/4 of the depth of a hacksaw blade....whatever that is....

Wow, some varied repies ther but very much appreciated! I guess there's no set depth with sef nocks - just trial, error an personal preference.
Thanks guys.
