Matt Simmons is a retired expert on offshore drilling, and he's trying to get the word out about the possibility of methane flooding in the event of a hurricane.  The interview is worth a listen:

Zen, thanks for posting!

I understood most of it but this is very hard to follow for a nonnative speaker!
If anyone finds this in better quality or as a transcript please post!

The way I see the whole problem in general is that all these big oil, chemical or financial or you name it concerns have become some sort of a predator lifeform that nobody is able to control, and these lifeforms are NOT IN THE SLIGHTEST WAY interested in your or the planetary wellbeing!
