Title: My first bow Apple
Post by: Elktracker on July 21, 2010, 02:27:58 pm
This is my first successful bow it was made from a Apple limb, it is 60" ntn pulling 58# at 26" of draw, its not the prettiest thing but it flings sticks great! and now i have something to shoot ;D  It took some set after about a hundred arrows, and the top limb was deflexed and the bottom had some reflex to start with, but i think i got it tillered ok for my first bow.

Cool first Bow!!!!  Congratulations on your first successful bow!  Nothing like launching your first arrows at a target from a bow you created with your own hands! Tiller looks great on it.  8)  Got it bookmarked for July Self BOM too.  :)

All you need to finish this thread out is to show a photo of you shooting an apple with the bow.  Hehehe.

Good work.  Branch bows are tough, I've never had one turn out.  Looks like yours has more than it's share of character.

Lots of builders on here wishing there first was that good, excellent job and welcome aboard. Really enjoy the primitive look of this one, what are you going to finish it with?
