well here is my new knife i bought at a garage sale with a tool box full of flintknaping tools. the guy sed he bought it from a Navajo indian in Arizona. he also sed it was a buffalo bone blade i am not sure if it is true all i can see is that the blade does not have a edge and it has a coat of polyurethane on it the leather looks, feels, and smells like brain tanned buckskin. if yall have any info on the style of blade it is and what tribe carried this style blades let me know i am thinking of putting the edge on it since it does not have it. the blade is 4 3/4 inches long ttyl

It looks authenic to me, Sterling. The knife looks like what you see in artifact books of Turn of the Century tourist knives. I bet it is at least 70-100 years old.

thanx eddie i dont think its that old i think this guy bought it new back in the 80s i can give him a call and find out i still dont know why it dosent have a edge on it. In your books does it say what the knife was used for? to me its blade is shaped for stabbing JMO

I'll look again Sterling. Is that feather a crow feather? Because it kinda looks like a Buzzard secondary and might be illegal for you.

not sure what it is our crow feathers are much darker and our buzzard feathers are brown its a toss up. the birds where this came from are different colored then here in texas so i cant tell what it is but i think it is a predator bird it does not have the vain on the back of it from what i can see
