This is kind of a reproduction of a type of bow from Abbey of Bows in Lausanne, Switzerland from the 1800s, but dating back to the 1500s in Italy as well.
Here on the right side the original bow :

Them bows were build out of Laburnum , probably yew as well.
I donīt know anything about the original measurements , and to be honest I found out later that the bow I have build looks like the very same as the Lausanne bow . ;) ::)
If here is some one who has got the measurements of the originall bow , please post them.
That litlle thing is quiet fast.
The specs of my bow are:
Wood: Osage
Length N/N : 62"
45# @ 26"
The handle had a setback , so i flipped the tips reflex:

Very nicely done Acker. There is nothing new in archery. That design is at least 500 years old but it is still a sexy shape. ;)

Dang that's sweet. Very well done, sir.

Very nice bow, I really like the profile on this one. Got it bookmarked for Aug. Self Bow of the Month too. Will you post me another pic of you drawing your bow? It is kinda hard to see your bow in this one. Thank you! :)

@medicinewheel : could it be that the bow in the museum is about 170cm long ?
@Josh: No , I'm sorry my cam is in heaven and the one I I've got here is very crappy .
Will take a bit of time to get a propper new one

That is an awsome looking bow. What kind of skin is that? Looks kinda like an Indigo?
