Title: need info on elb

ok i'm going to try a elb i have a osage stave and i need to know about how munch sap wood to leave on it or do i need to remove it all and how wide would you make it at the center .

No sapwood needed, but you can leave a ring on for effect.   ;)  1" to 1-1/8" should be fine for normal bow weights.  Maybe add another 1/8" if you want to bump up to warbow weight.  This one is 70" x 1-1/8" and draws 88# @ 30".  All heartwood, as with most osage bows.

thanks i don't think ill be making a 100 pounder but you never know is a inch deep good and 72'' long sound good.

An inch wide should be spot on for 60-ish (?)  at 28" with a rigid grip, deep core, and round belly.  Shorten up for a working grip.

lovely looking bow alpine, how wide to you make it at the nocks?looks like it does its job too. ;)
