if a stave has a some twist on one end, would having a sidenock pull the bow into alignment(?) when pulling to full draw? just a general question?
-
It will as long as the twist is not too bad. You can get it close to finish tiller and then get some of the twist out by using dry heat or steam and twisting it till it cools, also.

If the twist is natural and not caused by uneven wood removal and if the twist is minor ( <30 degrees) I would not worry about it. I never did a side nock. Can't anwer that question but made tons of bows out of staves with twists up to 40 degrees. Paid it no never mind. Jawge
