Title: Any body back white oak with hickory?

I just glued up a pyramid style 68" white oak board bow with a hickory backing. I induced a little reflex Perry style by using a form. The board has a little run off.  Should I reduce the hickory back to 1/8 of an inch?

  yes  thats  fine,,   white  oak  is  my  favorite of  all!!!!  ( I haven't done ossage yet)  Jeff w
