Title: bow backing and recurving question

when you make a laminated or backed bow when do you apply recurves??? wouldnt heat mess with the glue??? do you do it first then add backing??? all help appreciated

Most folks glue up a laminated bow in a form that creates the recurves.

make a recurve form that the belly and backing will push into, then glue it up and clamp into the form , when dry it will keep the shape.
